GUNPOWDER GREEN TEA

Its leaves strangely resemble gunpowder, hence the name Gunpowder. This variety, called Formosa, comes from Taiwan.

An infusion with an unforgettable fragrance. There is a slight bitterness which is not to displease and a beautiful infusion of a captivating green.

Very popular in Algeria and Morocco where it is used as a base for the famous mint tea.

RECIPE: 1 tablespoon of gunpowder, 5 cups of boiling water, 3-4 teaspoons of sugar to taste, 1 bunch of mint.

In a teapot, place the tea, rinse it with the first cup of hot water.

Empty the water, keeping the leaves in the teapot.

Add the remaining 4 cups of water, steep 2-4 minutes, add sugar, mint to taste and serve!
